The Rudolph Sailing School in Waldeck-West on Lake Eder has been in operation for over 60 years. Owner Frank Rudolph is the third generation to run the school.


From Easter through October, students can learn to sail on modern dinghies, keelboats, catamarans, and Optimists. The training program includes introductory courses, basic courses, and training programs for recreational boat licenses, including theory. Private lessons are also available on weekends. In addition to the sailing school, there is a boat rental service for sailboats, electric boats and yachts, canoes, and SUP boards. The boats do not require a license and are available for hourly or daily charters. Boat owners are offered boat and yacht services, as well as winter storage and dock spaces.
