Edersee Cycling Loop (ER) - All the way around Lake Edersee

The bike paths and routes run partly on paved, gravel, and/or dirt/forest trails. Very rarely, they also run along roads with little traffic. The bike paths and routes can be combined as desired (including with the ferries and the boat) and are signposted in both directions. There are also a few combined bike and pedestrian paths.

The official emergency points (e.g., KB-428) are marked on the maps and local signs. In case of injury, you can report the specific location to emergency services (phone: 112). Cell phone coverage is not comprehensive, especially within the national park.

Use of the bike path/bike route is at your own risk. You should not use this bike path/bike route in strong winds, heavy rain, or snowfall!

Since the tour involves a significant elevation gain, children should be reasonably fit on a bike and have obtained a bicycle safety certificate at school...

Thanks to the numerous boat landings operated by the Edersee Passenger Ferry Service and the ferries between Asel/Asel-Süd and Rehbach/Scheid, there are a wide variety of options for planning tours of all kinds and varying lengths.
