The Usseln local history museum was opened in 1982. The museum building and outdoor facilities were thoroughly renovated, improved and extended by the municipality of Willingen (Upland) in 1992/1993 as part of the Hessian village renewal program.
On an exhibition area of over 250 m², numerous exhibits are on display, impressively depicting the life of yesteryear, the hard work and habits of people in everyday life. The modesty and poverty of the past become visible.
