Edersee Bike Trail 4 (ER) — Along the Eder and the Wilde rivers, passing through Bad Wildungen and the Edersee

The bike paths and routes run partly on paved, gravel, and/or field and forest trails. Very rarely, they also run along roads with little traffic. The bike paths and routes can be combined as desired (including with the ferries and the boat) and are signposted in both directions. There are also a few combined bike and pedestrian paths.

From Kleinern, as an alternative to the ER 4 through the national park, you can take the easier route through the Wesebach Valley by following the ER 3.

If traveling by car, we recommend taking Federal Highway B485. From the north, take the L3383 toward Affoldern at the roundabout. From the south, take the turnoff onto the L3086 toward Affoldern.

Parking on both sides of the retaining wall is subject to a fee. You can purchase a daily parking pass (cash). The parking ticket is then valid at all other paid parking locations in the municipality of Edertal and the city of Waldeck!
