The completion of the renaturation of the Rosenau in summer 2018 marked the first milestone in the spa park's transformation.
The stream has left its old, dead-straight bed and now meanders through the spa park. The stream bed and banks were restructured in a near-natural way with the lengthening of the course. There are now shallow water zones and deeper areas, steep and shallower banks, slower and faster flow speeds. This helps to improve the quality of the water and promotes the flora and fauna in and around the water. For visitors to the spa gardens, not only have new paths, bridges and views been created, but also new secluded places to linger by the Rosenau, to approach or even enter.
One special spot at the Rosenau is the Charlottenlounge, directly opposite the spring, which was used as a healing and drinking spring many years ago. Now you can take a seat in the lounge and enjoy coffee, cake and ice cream. Tip for little spa park guests: while mom, dad, grandma and grandpa have a coffee, you can play in the sand and by the water.
